Every year, SCAD has a film festival to premier many upcoming films and shorts with their directors and producers. Many well known celebrities come as well to receive awards and do panels to answer questions. One film I went to see at the film fest was I'Tonya. This movie is based on the infamous ice skater Tonya Harding and how the scandal involving Nancy Kerrigan went down. The movie starred Margot Robbie as Tonya, along with Sebastian Stan, Allison Janney, Paul Walter Hauser, and Caitlin Carver.

Synopsis: Tonya Harding rises through the ranks of competitive figure skating only to find disgrace when her husband tries to eliminate her rival
Director: Craig Gillespie
Writer: Steve Rogers
Release Date: December 8, 2017
The main reason I went to see this film was for the actor Sebastian Stan. He has been in a few Marvel films that I love and I really love his acting, so when I saw that the film fest was showing this film, I had to see it. Overall, this movie was amazing. I was expecting this movie to be very serious, but it was actually very funny for the most part. It did have some serious moments, but there was always little things that would break the tension. I think Margot Robbie did such a fantastic job at portraying such a hated icon and making you understand her side of the story. Allison Janney was also incredible in this film. She was hilarious, but she also did good at playing a character you hate to love, and my love, Sebastian Stan did a fantastic job in this movie too. Everyone in this film was amazing and I would definitely recommend seeing it when it comes out.
